Privacy Policy
The Red Sub · Last updated: September 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Spittweb ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with The Red Sub (the "App"), a mobile game available for iOS and Android.
Summary
The Red Sub does not require you to create an account and does not collect any personal information directly. Your best score is stored only on your own device. The App uses Google AdMob to display ads, and Google's advertising SDK may collect certain device and usage information as described below.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or have access to your name, email address, contacts, photos, location, or any other personal information. The App has no account system, no login, and no chat or social features.
Information Stored on Your Device
- Best score. The App saves your best score locally on your device (using standard local storage) so it persists between sessions. This information is never transmitted to us and never leaves your device.
Advertising
The App is free to play and supported by ads served through Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). We use two ad formats: an app open ad (shown when you launch or return to the App) and an interstitial ad (shown occasionally between runs, roughly every fifth attempt). We do not use banner ads.
To serve and measure these ads, Google and its advertising partners may collect and process information such as:
- Advertising identifiers (e.g., your device's Advertising ID / IDFA, where permitted)
- General device information (device type, operating system version, language, and similar technical data)
- Approximate location derived from your IP address
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, and similar engagement signals)
This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us, and is governed by Google's own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. You can also review how Google uses information from apps that use its services here: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
On iOS, the App will ask for your permission before using your device's advertising identifier for tracking purposes, using Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. You can allow or deny this request. If you deny it, the App remains fully playable — you will still see ads, but they may be less personalized. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your device.
Data Sharing and Sale
We do not sell your information. We do not share any information with third parties ourselves, because we do not collect any beyond the locally-stored best score described above. Any data collection described in the "Advertising" section above is carried out directly by Google and its advertising partners, subject to their own policies.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address below so we can address it.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the European Economic Area and UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights regarding personal data processed about you, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing, and the right to object. Because we do not collect personal data ourselves, requests relating to advertising data collected by Google should generally be directed to Google using the resources at myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy. You can also contact us using the details below and we will assist where we can.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the App or in applicable law. Any changes will be posted at this same location with an updated "Last updated" date.
